Megasquirt ECU
The DIY-ers ECU... & so my nightmare begins August 2005-??? 2006 |

|
OK so I have deceided to install the Megasquirt ECU, instead of others like it... such as Omex, DTA, Weber Alpha systems.
If you are thinking of going down this route (for what ever reason, mine was budget) either buy one pre-built. Bill Shurvington sells them on the club WSCC site... or if you think you are good with a soldering iron and can read & UNDERSTAND the MS website you can build your own. I had mine built for me... but this is where the frustration started - WORD TO THE WISE... don't let people help you/you PAY them to do a job unless they will finish the job they start... As I state at the top MS and wiring was only meant to take a few weeks tops... AND it's still not completely finished...and it's now Jan 2006. Thanks to Jeff Oakley and Chris Goodchild this frustrating part of the build is now nearly over with there help the MS was finished to run edis and the wiring that was needed to complete the job was now needened up and finished off. ok...Rant over... ??:O) Aswell as the megasquirt installation I am also going to fit a Wide Band Lambda sensor and controller to run in tandom with the ECU. Sorry no pics at the moment. But check out the MS website. This place has everything you could ever wish for... understanding it if you know nothing about DIY electronics, has been a up-hill-struggle. Megasquirt |
